News: Stephen Kelson Selected as Keynote Speaker at Utah State Bar Spring Convention

Stephen Kelson was the keynote speaker at the Utah State Bar Spring Convention in St. George this week. He presented findings on his ongoing study focusing on "Violence in the Legal Profession and a Study of Our Colleagues Nationwide." Stephen is the foremost expert on threats and violence against attorneys and conducts surveys of state bar members across the country to help determine how and why these events occur. This effort is a passion project for Stephen and we commend him for his efforts to improve the legal profession through his charitable research.
On March 18, 2019, Stephen will also be the Plenary Speaker at the Minnesota Family Law Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he will present on "The Hidden Dangers of Practice: Understanding the Risk of Violence against Family Lawyers." He will also be a panel speaker on "How to Protecty Yourself and Your Workplace from Violence."

Sarah Spencer selected as DRI Apellate Advocacy 2019 Seminar Chair

Sarah Spencer has been appointed as the Program Chair of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) National Appellate Advocacy Seminar, to be held in Chicago on July 19, 2019. Sarah has been active in the Appellate Advocacy Committee of DRI since 2014 and has provided her insight in many DRI articles.
