Stephen Kelson was the keynote speaker at the Utah State Bar Spring Convention in St. George this week.  He presented findings on his ongoing study focusing on "Violence in the Legal Profession and a Study of Our Colleagues Nationwide."  Stephen is the foremost expert on threats and violence against attorneys and conducts surveys of state bar members across the country to help determine how and why these events occur.  This effort is a passion project for Stephen and we commend him for his efforts to improve the legal profession through his charitable research.

On March 18, 2019, Stephen will also be the Plenary Speaker at the Minnesota Family Law Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he will present on "The Hidden Dangers of Practice: Understanding the Risk of Violence against Family Lawyers."  He will also be a panel speaker on "How to Protecty Yourself and Your Workplace from Violence."
